A national telephone helpline for people with debt problems in the UK. The service is free, confidential and independent. The service was set up in 1987 by insolvnecy and credit sector. The service provides help and advice to its callers and also produces written self-help packs and factsheets to back this up. The service can also assist callers with the setting up of Debt Management Plans, IVA , Trust Deed. The service is open 24 hours a day and is free of charge.
