Lady in Evolution.
I am a Human Being, who happens to have one aspect of my total self which is "gender variant."
Gender variant? What does THAT mean? Consider the concept that each and every Human Being on this planet has a unique gender; no two Human Beings are exactly the same - "gender-wise," (or, in any other aspect). If one concedes that concept to be true, then how can there be "gender variance," if everyone is unique and different? So, "gender variant" or not "gender variant," only my mind knows for sure. :-)
I was born ME, and finally, after 45 years of training myself how to be someone I was not, for the last 6 years I have been, and will continue to be... just ME.
I do not really care for categories when attempts are made to apply them to Human Beings. I know who I am, and that is good enough for me. Labels are for cans, boxes and bottles to indicate the contents therein; certainly inappropriate for Human Beings, who are much more complex and constantly changing beyond what any label can ever possibly describe.
At this particular point in the journey of my eternal spirit, I am occupying a male (anatomy) body. This part of my spirit's eternal journey has been often joyful, and sometimes painful. I suspect, and I am optimistic, that the limited understanding of this body's mind has yet to realize the ultimate reason for my physical existence. All I can do, is allow my spirit to guide me to its goal, and have faith in that goal.
If you are not familiar with what it means to be gender variant, I cannot speak for others for EVERYONE is unique; I can only speak about who I am. I am very comfortable chatting with anyone, about being gender variant, as well as anything else about myself.
