I forgot to tell y'all my cancer is back!

We've come to a conclusion about our BenTaub experiences. Last night I wrote a list of disheartening truths about the place:
1. Rarely see the same doctors twice - especially in clinic. This means no one follows closely!
2. If followed better then I would have already met the 'symptom docs' to handle all the side problems I've had!
3. When in the hospital and had the sonogram the tech didn't even read my folder to see that I wasn't born with a left kidney! Found out when she asked me to roll over a different way so she could get an image of it!
4. Services are antiquated at times! Had to be sent out for a PET scan and when we first met the radio department people they showed us a tape made in the 80's about the machines on TAPE!
5. Before my probe [and the drugs kicked in] I actually heard my doc say,"The patient has no known allergies" only to have the drug guy and myself scream, "NO!" [I require 2 arm bands there are so many!!]
6. The fact that they booked me 2 appointments following the pee bag replacement surgery is rather uncool. They know I am in a wheel chair and always uncomfortable!
7. Also uncool -- two "Minor" surgies a weekend apart!
8. All because they want to 'rush my samples to the lab' only to book my follow up on the second of next month! [This has happened EVERY time with them!]
9. The docs not listening when I told them I would have to be under to get a sample and that it would not be possible in clinic! [thus the scope surgery which is still hurting from the cuts they made inside me!]
10. While reviewing my situation before these surgeries they were referring to the damn CT scan and not the PET we'd done just before. [which is a better scan with clearer results] We had to correct them!
11. So many people from so many departments have been noticably rude...contridicting the abundance of really nice and helpful people who do seem to dominate over all.

So we are pulling all my hospital records from everywhere. After our meeting on the second I plan to head over to MD Anderson for a second opinion. I got approved for disablity and now have medicade again. I learned the benefits of private health care over here at Memorial. This time I want to go to the best. I don't want this coming again - ever. Being sick sucks,
