His name is Derek Kelly. He goes by "D". He is a 32 year old , white male, with blue eyes, short dark brown hair. He is 5'11, 170 pounds, I'd describe him as having an athletic build. He was last seen hearing a black and silver hoody and jeans.

He has several tatty's please see the photo's. One is a word on his right forearm that reads Irish Pride.

He was last seen in the Bridge Lake area (approx 1 1/2 hours NorthWest of Kamloops) Bridge Lake just off Hwy 24
on New Years Eve (Dec 31 2007 - Jan 01 2008)

Police seek help in finding missing man

Police are asking for the publicâ€™s help in locating a 31-year-old Langley man, missing since Jan. 1.
Derek Kelly was last seen in the area of Bridge Lake and Highway 24, close to 100 Mile House. He was reported missing to the Langley RCMP by his family on Jan. 16.
An extensive investigation by the Langley RCMPâ€™s Serious Crime Unit has not located him.
Kelly is described as 5â€™11â€, 170 lbs., with short dark brown hair, blue eyes, with Celtic tattoos on his upper shoulders/back, a Libra Lion on the center of his chest, and an â€œIrish Prideâ€ script tattoo on his inner right forearm.
Anyone that may have seen or know the whereabouts of Derek Kelly are asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or Const. Andrew Roy of Langley Serious Crime Unit at 604-532-3376.

Hi Everyone,

It's almost 4 months that Derek has been missing.

4 months too long.

Derek was a family guy and would want to be home with his mom, dad, his nephew's, our 2 other brothers ,his sister-in-laws and me too.

It only gets harder , time is not healing at this point in time because he is not home.

Tonight on Global News , Derek's story will be on. As many of you know there are several missing men in the Lower Mainland :

1) Johnny Kahler from Langley went missing on Nov 4th, 2007 at Stave Lake, Mission BC

2) My brother Derek Kelly from Langley went missing on New Years Eve in Bridge Lake.

3) Kellen McElwee from Burnaby went missing after having dinner with friends at the Keg restaurant in Langley on March 19, 2008, at approx 9pm. ( now being investigated by The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team aka : IHIT)

4) Michael Scullion from Chilliwack was last seen with 'friends' Harrison Crossroads Hotel located at 5936 Lougheed Highway near Harrison Hot Springs BC on April 9th, 2008 at 10 - 10:30pm. (now being investigated by The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team aka: IHIT)

There are other men who are missing in this time frame as well, but from what I read in the paper and from the tv these men were depressed and suicidal, and I pray for their families because they still don't have their loved one and that's a pain that doesn't heal.

However, the four young men above all have 'disappeared' into what appears to be think air, they were full of life and something happened where they 'vanished' - in all four cases , we know that someone (he/she/they) know some information that can help.

I just ask that if you know or have heard anything on any of these men to call CRIMESTOPPERS 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

If you live in the Lower Mainland Global should be channel 11 I believe that all of our 'guys' will be on, perhaps it will help to get them home to family and friends who miss them deeply.
